“Qi” pronounced “Chee” is the vital life energy supporting human being and the universe. “Gong” is a “method” or “skill and it also means “power. Qi Gong is a skill and art to train and cultivate energy in order to strengthen one’s physical and mental health.

Qi Gong has a role in preventing and curing diseases and syndromes, protecting and strengthening health, defending oneself from physical and mental attack and increasing the quality of life and longevity.

This combination of self-awareness with self-correction of the posture and movement of the body, the flow of breath, and stilling of the mind, are thought to comprise a state which activates the natural self-regulating (self-healing).
